Student Lending Art Program

Sign up for a chance to live with an original work of art from the Student Lending Art Collection for the upcoming academic year!  The Collection is made up of original works of art, primarily prints and photographs by leading contemporary artists.  Selections from the collection will be on view at the List Center (E15) from August 30 - September 18th, 2022. You are encouraged to view the artworks, but please note you do not need to visit the galleries to enter the lottery.

This program is FREE for all MIT Students. You must have a valid student ID.

To enter the lottery, please complete the online sign-up questionnaire by Wednesday, September 14th for your chance to take home an artwork for the 2022-2023 academic year. Please note, students are not required to choose your preferred artworks in advance or visit E15 to register for the lottery.  Winners will be notified on Friday, September 16th and given instructions to make an appointment to pick out an artwork at the List Center during distribution hours September 19th-23rd.

By continuing, you agree to the following terms:

  • If selected, you will personally pick up your artwork during the established distribution hours (September 19th-23rd,10:00am – 6:00pm). You understand that no one besides you may pick up an artwork. (This is the only week artworks will be distributed.)
  • You understand that you must be able to safely carry the artwork you select. Artworks cannot be transported on bicycles, scooters, skateboards, etc. as this poses a risk to the collection. The List Center will provide transportation services upon request for students with physical limitations.
  • You must have a safe place in which to hang the artwork you have chosen.
